Saint George's J Team (Sunday School & Creche)

The J Team meets during term-time in the Centenary Centre during the 10am Parish Mass on Sundays. We have over 60 children on the register, with a regular average attendance in excess of 30.

We welcome children aged 4 - 14 in the main J Team, and babies and toddlers to age 4 in the "J Team Tiddlers". Older children are also very welcome and are always put to good use!

We enjoy a variety of activities on a Sunday morning, including singing, craftwork, painting, projects and bible-based games. The "Tiddlers" have a library of toys and books, plus a painting table and water play. They are encouraged to feel part of the main J Team from their first attendance, this making the transition from crèche to J Team seamless.

The childrens' work is displayed in both the Church and the Centre and emphasis is placed on the importance of the J Team and their vital position within our present and future church family.

We have enjoyed a large range of other activities in recent years, including an annual themed sleepover, talent shows, nativity plays, animal services, fund-raising car washes, picnics, parties, carol singing, creating the annual Easter garden and so much more.
