Last Friday Concerts – Series 4

A Concert on The Last Friday of each Month
all starting at 7.30pm.
with interval drinks and canapés

In light of Covid-19 please check back nearer the time to confirm events are still proceeded as planned

April 24th – St Richard Singers and Friends CANCELLED
Choral classics including Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs as well as vocal and instrumental entertainment from the Conductor and members.

May 29th – Revd Canon Tim Peskett & Guest PROBABLY CANCELLED – CHECK NEARER THE TIME
Fr. Tim entertains with a further selection of popular organ classics and is joined by the DoM for two-piano favourites. (No tickets, retiring collection)

June 26th – West Sussex Guitar Club in Concert PROBABLY CANCELLED – CHECK NEARER THE TIME
An exciting evening of classical guitar with a variety of solo and small ensemble performances from junior and senior members before they combine to form the prize-winning Guitar Orchestra.

July 31st – Victoria Carlisle (harp) & The Home Team The Parish Choir are joined by soloists including the return of our favourite harpist, clarinetist, cornet player and singers. Join us for a fun evening and be prepared to join in!

August 28th – The Luc Family Top quality musicianship and technique from Yuriko, Imy, Maria and Kenji.
Be prepared to arrive early to get a seat for this concert.

September 25th – ‘Young and Talented’ Organists Come and support them as Tim Ravalde hosts another evening when the next generation of organists demonstrate their skill and character.

October 30th – Chichester City Band
The final concert in Series 4 when we welcome back the Band. Come and enjoy their inspirational sounds in a varied and popular programme.

Admission £10 to include interval refreshments; under 18’s free.
Tickets: available on the door.

SHCT Ride and Stride @ Nationwide

Every year, on the second Saturday in September, the various Historic Churches Trusts across the country hold a Sponsored Bike Ride / Stride, this year to be on September 14th The monies raised through sponsorship is split 50/50 between the trust itself and a church of the volunteer’s choice. This then is an ideal opportunity to raise money for St Georges.

The idea is for cyclists, and walkers, keen and not so keen, to cycle or walk between participating churches in their area, starting and finishing at any church and visiting as many as they want.
