The WRAP Community Choir – During the summer of 2012, the WRAP Choir was formed, being part of the outreach mission of St George’s, Jason Howard took on the mantle of being the founder musical Director. Since those early days the choir had increased with membership reaching a regular 50 attendees, with twice yearly concerts, no entrance fee but with donations received were given to numerous local charities. Sadly, since the pandemic, many local choirs have taken a hammering in the reduction of membership and WRAP has been no different. As from next Tuesday, 28th the choir will be taking a rest for a while, hopefully, with fresh leadership it may start up again. We wait and see. Thank you to all those who have either been a member at some time or who have supported us as part of our Friends and Family. Thank you from Geraldine and Nikki
The choir is for anyone who would love to sing but think they can’t. Well, you can………! It’s a good way of making new friends, one of the reasons for starting the choir, and you don’t have to be able to read sheet music. Our new Director of Music, Jo Allum is looking forward to meeting old and new WRAP friends and introducing some seasonal singing.

The WRAP Community Choir has been running since May 2012 and has been a focus for the local community. Based in the South-East area of Chichester, it meets weekly in the Centenary Centre behind St George’s Church on Cleveland Road, to sing music of varying styles, ranging from modern pop to musicals and ballads. The choir has around 45 members who enjoy meeting to make new friends, enjoy a social evening and to have a good time.
If you are interested in joining the choir, please feel free to come along to our Tuesday rehearsal from 7:30 till 9pm. We ask for a fee of £5 for each session to meet expenses.
