What is The Parenting Children Course?

The Parenting Children Course consists of five sessions, designed to equip those parenting or caring for 0 to 10-year-olds, and parents-to-be, with long-term strategies to build a healthy family life.
Over five sessions, the course will help you to:
• Build strong foundations
• Meet your children’s needs
• Set clear boundaries
• Teach healthy relationships
• Consider your long-term aim

Who is it for?

The Parenting Children Course is for parents, step-parents, prospective parents or carers of children aged 0-10 years.
The course is for every type of parenting situation including parenting on your own, step-parenting and parenting as a couple.
The Parenting Children Course is based on Christian principles but designed for all couples with or without a church background.

What can I expect?

On The Parenting Children Course, you are seated in small groups based on the age of your oldest child so that you can meet other parents and carers with children of a similar age.
Each session begins with refreshments, giving you space to relax and chat to other parents or carers followed by a practical talk and a time for discussion in groups.
The talk is given using a course DVD and includes street interview, filmed clips of parents and children sharing their own experiences and advice from parenting experts.
A course booklet with practical guidance and questions is also provide.

Where is it taking place?

The course will be run at St George’s Centenary Centre, Cleveland Road, Chichester, PO19 7AD

Parking is available.

When?

The are five sessions that run on Wednesdays 12:45-2:45 on 21 February, 28 February, 13 March, 20 March, 27 March.

How much does it cost?

We ask for a suggested donation of £5 per family at the first session for the entire course. This is to cover the costs of the course materials and expenses. No one is obligated to give any money.
